Review: Yoga with Adriene

I am NOT an affiliate of Yoga with Adriene. I just love to share the love !

Before I purchase anything, I tend to read review after review to get a good sense of whether the product will be a good fit for me and my values. So I wanted to add to the many reviews of my FAVORITE online yoga class!

I started using Yoga with Adrienne (Find What Feels Good App) when I got my puppy, Teddy. Because I wanted to spend all of my time with Teddy I didn’t want to go to a gym and take away from our mother-pup bonding time. Not to mention, I couldn’t afford a monthly yoga gym membership, knowing I would only make it a couple times a month. I had practiced yoga for several years and knew that it helped with my anxiety so I needed to find a sustainable solution. My friend suggested I try the online Yoga with Adrienne classes, and I couldn’t be happier.

So what makes it so special?

Hop into something comfy, and let’s get started!
— Adriene

Down to Earth and Fun

I truly don’t know how she does it, but Adriene is able to make the classes informative, with precision instruction and guidance, all while keeping it approachable. The caliber matches that of a great gym instructor through the cued breathing and mindful adjustments. BUT she is not afraid to slip up her words and roll with it and sometimes break out into a short song like “feel the Earth move under my feet…” or to pause and watch her puppy, Benji running in his sleep. The playfulness of her lessons add to the session all while gaining a good yoga foundation.

All Levels

Whether you are looking to learn what this whole yoga thing is, working through an ailment, or wanting to build strength, the Find What Feels Good app will do the trick. Adriene has 30-day yoga classes that vary from 15-40 minutes per lesson that is perfect for if you are just starting out or want to commit to bringing yoga into your daily routine. These 30-day playlists build on foundation poses, making you a little bit stronger and more relaxed each day. She also has some stand alone classes that are meditative, cardio, muscle-specific, or mood-specific. She truly has a perfect class for every mood and every ailment (below are a few of my favorites):

Varied Durations

Along with the range of levels, Adriene also has yoga sessions by durations. Sometimes you just need 5 minutes before bed, and sometimes you need a good hour. Whatever it is, she’s got something for you! It’s also easy to combine multiple for a mix and match approach.

Affordable and Accessible

Adriene has made yoga accessible. She has SO many of her videos free on her YouTube channel. I truly respect her providing these resources, and making yoga more available to all ages. Her aim is to bring yoga into more homes and schools. And if you do decide to subscribe to her app (which doesn’t have ads and has bonus videos) it is $9.99 a month - less than one in-person yoga class.

BENJI!

Last, but certainly not least, there is Benji, her adorable pup. Benji lays by Adriene’s side during every video, either sleeping or watching the world go by! His calm demeanor will definitely add to your meditation.

So there you have it, I hope this helps bring more calm activity to your life! Stay happy, stay safe.

Namaste,

Emily and Teddy
